I wrote this application as a test during my studies of communication design.
The application uses data from twitter's public timeline.
The geolocation data is provided by geonames.org. Inspired by we feel fine.
The application works best with modern browsers that support the <canvas> tag, e.g. the latest versions of Firefox, Opera, Safari, and Chrome. Firefox 3 seems to have issues with 100+ tweets.
The application is not yet finished. Planned features include: client side storage of tweets, a mode to visualize conversations, a tweet gallery and a 'my tweets' mode
